Lift & Slide Corner Unit Gear Mechanism

Corner Unit Features:

  • Protruding strike points on gear engage with flush strikes on secondary panel (perpendicular panel on corner).  See example under Technical Specifications Tab, with an astragal affixed to the opposite door panel
  • Can also be used on a regular sliding door:
    • Simply do not connect mechanism to roller carriages to remove lifting function
    • Then when mechanism is operated, the protruding locking points will engage with flush jamb strikes
    • The ‘mushroom head’ design of FPL’s strikes will help pull the sliding door closed

Our Lift & Slide Corner Unit Gear Mechanism provides the same innovations on Lift & Slide hardware, along with functional benefits for Corner Lift & Slide Units:

  • Protruding strike points on gear engage with flush strikes on secondary panel (perpendicular panel on corner).  See example under Technical Specifications Tab, with an astragal affixed to the opposite door panel.
  • Up to 5 Locking points available without extensions (see ‘Technical Specifications’ tab for locking point locations)
  • Can also be used on a regular sliding door:

    • Even though the Lift & Slide Basic Roller Kit is capable of supporting 1,600 lbs (800 lbs per roller carriage), if your door panel is 8′ long or more, we do recommend ordering an additional #98 Rear Roller Carriage for every additional 5′.  See examples below:

      • 8′ long panel – BRK, plus 1 additional #98 Roller carriage
